“I spoke to Daru after he tried the standard LoFReQ. He loved it and was interested in doing a signature model so I asked him what he wanted to change. He wanted it to match his kit with the gold sparkle shell but he didn’t want to change the sound! So, since Daru travels a lot, we added the special gold-plated XLR connector with a dust cover and beefed up the wiring just to make sure his signature model was more road ready. We wanted to still keep the cost reasonable but we also included a more substantial gig bag compared to the thinner nylon bag that come with the standard LoFReQ. He loves it!”

I’ve been using the LoFReQ in recent recording sessions and have had great results on kick drum but also fantastic results on a bass vocalist! I have a favorite ribbon mic that I like to use on the bass singer from The Coats Vocal Band but in the last couple sessions I put the LoFReQ up right beside the ribbon—amazing results!
